Interior Design – How To Transform A Kids’ Room Into A Teens’ Room

Kids Room
Designer Jenna Cadieux explains how she refreshed two small bedrooms for kids transitioning into their teen years. See how she revamped a boy’s room and a girl’s room to bring new life into the two very different spaces.

The girl’s bedroom already consisted of a custom headboard, which became the foundation of the overall color palette. Jenna added curtains with peach tones, a beaded chandelier, a bookshelf, and a mix of cushions to add some personality. The boy’s bedroom was a lot smaller, so choosing the right pieces to fit the design was key. The double bed took up a lot of room, so Jenna chose a pivoting sconce and floating nightstand to save space. A mango wood desk with floating bookshelves and faux wood blinds add to the rustic, California vibe.
